Dr. MANMOHAN SINGH (2005), extols the virtue of British rule and gives them the credit for rule of law, constitutional government, and free press as the contributions which India benefitted from.

சரிதான் ...ஆனால் சூத்திரன் படித்தால் காதில் ஈயத்தை ஊற்ற கூறிய பார்ப்பானிடம் இருந்து இங்குள்ள மக்களுக்கு சிறிதாவது கல்வி அறிவை கொடுத்து கண் திறந்தது வெள்ளை காரனே. முக்கியமாக இப்போதைய பூணூல்களின் எரிச்சல் எல்லாம் அவர்கள் சுகபோகத்தில் பங்கு கேட்க பலர் வந்து விட்டனர் என்பதே. தகுதி திறமை என்று புளுகி திரிவது இந்த எரிச்சலின் அவதியே. தகுதி இருப்பதாக புளுகும் இவர்கள் எங்காவது எதையாவது மக்களுக்கு செய்துள்ளர்களா?
