ஸ்டார் ஸ்டேட்டஸ்ல இருக்கும்போதே பலரின் கவனத்திற்குக் கொண்டு வருவதற்காக ஏற்கெனவே நான் பதிய ஆரம்பித்த காலத்தில் எழுதிய சில விதயங்களை மறுபதிப்பு மூலம் உங்கள் பார்வைக்கு மீண்டும் கொண்டு வர நினைத்திருந்தேன். அந்த சமயத்தில் அவைகளைப் பலர் பார்க்காமல் போயிருக்கலாம் என்பதாலும், அவைகளில் சில எனக்குப் பதில் தெரியாதவைகளாகவோ, அல்லது அதைப்பற்றி நாம் கொஞ்சம் நினைக்கவேண்டுமென நான் நினைத்ததாலோ மறுபதிப்பிட நினைத்தேன். நாலைந்து பதிவுகளின் சுருக்கம் தர நினைத்திருந்தேன். இப்போது அவைகளைச் சுருக்கி மூன்றாக்கியுள்ளேன்:ஒன்று - தலித் பற்றியது;
இரண்டு - common wealth பற்றியது;
I. தலித் பற்றியது:THE HINDU Monday, MAY 2, 2005 pp11
DALITS all over the world have something to rejoice about. Durban was not in vain. On April 19, 2005, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights adopted a Resolution to appoint two Special Rapporteurs to tackle caste-based discrimination.
III.

I think, Its Just Existence
The evolutionary theory is a tool to see why humans act certain ways. By understanding evolutionary psychology, it will help analyze human behavior and the reasons for human migration, cultural development, and social identity. Humans have an inborn characteristic to want more and be satisfied. They will move and find what it is that they are looking for to bring themselves to be satisfied. Humans struggle to stay alive and they look for numerous ways to keep themselves in existence. To stay alive they must be well adapted to their environment or they would not be able to live. That explains why humans migrated to different places. All they wanted to do was to find a place where they can live comfortably and live as long as they can. As for cultural development, these people who chose to stay in the same place had similar ideas, wants, and lifestyles. This similarity produces a development of a distinct culture and will soon transform itself into a official race, tribe, group, or whatever it may be called at the time. In the formation of these groups, they have created their own social identity. Their culture gives them certain characteristics in the ways they live, the things they worship, and the feeling of belonging. If certain individuals don’t feel the same and don’t think that they fit into that lifestyle they may migrate elsewhere

Ravikumar, i differ on one of your points:“To stay alive they must be well adapted to their environment or they would not be able to live.” IT SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY. TO STAY ALIVE THEY SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN PLACES MORE CONDUCIVE AND NOT IN THOSE GODFORSAKEN PLACES.

When resources are available in plenty, we tend to “OWN” as much as possible. When resources are limiting, then we agree to share, because that is the only way we can assure access to that resource! Such situations leads to formation of SMALL self sufficient groups; when the group grows bigger than a critical size, it breaks and each group forms its unique niche/domain. (This trend continues in ‘modern’ society at all kinds of ‘organisations’.)For example, in a lion’s pride, the father lion chases away the son lions when they are bigger, because they will compete with the father for available ‘resources’ within the pride. The sons have to ‘migrate’ and form their own pride elsewhere. I guess the early humans too migrated in a similar fashion.Am running short of time and so switched language. Kindly bear with me.

I find Awwai’s comments valid. It is an animal instinct to migrate eventually forming new social habitat. Most wild animals do the same. Human beings had derived it from his predecessor.

The article at the above link is just a sample on how divided even experts are on the topic of origin and migration of homo sapiens (human beings). When that is the case with EXPERTS, we can only speculate!
Even before modern man (homo sapiens) evolved 50000 years ago, the previous versions (eg. homo erectus), had migrated to different parts of the world 2 MILLION YEARS ago. At that point of time the drifting land masses (i.e. continents) might have been closer to each other than what they are now!
Experts are still debating on two possible theories:1. The early versions like Homo erectus migrated to different parts 2 million years ago, and Homo sapiens evolved at different places about 50000 years ago.2. The Homo sapiens evolved 50000 years ago in africa and migrated to different parts gradually, and replaced the less evolved (intellect and skills in tools) Homo erectus.
Even if the second theory is true, the modern man (Homo sapiens) would have just followed the migration trails of the Homo erectus to different places, because he knows by experience that if Homo erectus can survive at a place he can survive better there!—-அது சரி, புலம்பரே/புலவரே!

The tendency to take care of one’s youngs ones evolved very early and so it is exhibited even by ‘lower’ organisms. The tendency to take care of the elderly seems to have evolved only in the human race, that too much later (that too not widespread in all tribes/civilisations). So, the parents had to let their offsprings go away so that they don’t compete for the same resources.
