Can IS be defeated?


 without a cohesive strategy, how are the world powers going to defeat a monstrous outfit with advanced weapons, large territories under control and thousands of soldiers unified by a fanatic ideology under command? The answer lies within. Meanwhile, the Islamic State is here to stay, at least for now.

ஹபிப் எழுதிய ஆங்கிலக் கட்டுரையிலிருந்து சில முக்கிய பகுதிகள் ….

வஹாபியிசத்தை உலகம் முழுமைக்கும் பரப்ப வேண்டுமென்ற குறிக்கோளோடிருக்கும் ஐ.எஸ். அமைப்பினை இன்று துருக்கி அரசு தாங்கிப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பது வரலாற்றில் ஒரு விபரீதமான விதியின் விளையாட்டு என்று தான் சொல்ல முடியும். செளதி அரசால் இன்று நியாயப்படுத்தப்படும், வலிமைப்படுத்தப்படும் ஐ.எஸ். 19ம் நூற்றாண்டில் ஒரு அராஜக, தீவிரவாத அமைப்பாக உருவெடுத்தது. ஐ.எஸ்.அமைப்புக்கு தங்கள் கொள்கையை நிலை நிறுத்த எந்த வித கொடூரமான மனித குலத்திற்கே எதிரான முறைகேடுகளையும் அது கைக்கொள்ளும் என்பது அதன் ஆரம்பகால வரலாற்றிலிருந்தே தெரிய வரும் உண்மை.

வஹாபிய இஸ்லாத்தின் ஆரம்பத்தில் அதன் வெறியாட்டத்தை நேரடியாக அனுபவித்தது ஓட்டோமான் அரசு தான்.1988ம் நூற்றாண்டில் இஸ்லாமிய அறிஞராக இருந்த அப்துல் வஹாப் அப்போதிருந்த செளதி அரேபியாவின் முதல் மன்னனான இபுன் சாவுத் இருவரும் இணைந்து ஓட்டோமான் அரசிற்கு பெரும் தலைவலியாக உருவானார்கள். வழக்கத்திலிருந்த பல இஸ்லாமிய நம்பிக்கைகளையும், பழக்க வழக்கங்களையும் இவர்கள் கேள்விக்குள்ளாக்கினார்கள்.  …  ஓட்டோமான் அரசு இவர்களைத் தோற்கடித்து அவர்களை பாலைவனத்திற்குள் விரட்டியடித்தார்கள். ….  வஹாபிய கொள்கைகள் மூடத்தனமானவை; இஸ்லாமியத்திற்கு எதிரானது என்பது துருக்கியரின் கருத்து. ஆனால் இன்று துருக்கியர்கள் ஐ.எஸ். அமைப்புடன் இருப்பது என்பது ஒரு பெரிய நகைமுரண்.

வெறுப்பின் எல்லைகள்

வஹாபின் தீவிரவாத, புனிதவாதக் கொள்கைகள் இபுன் சாவுத்தின் ஈவு இரக்கமற்ற மதத் தீவிரவாதத்தோடு இணைந்தது. …  பயங்கரங்கள் நடந்தேறின. … இந்த நிகழ்வுகள் இஸ்லாமிய அடிப்படை வாதத்தை முன்னெடுத்தன; பயங்கரவாதம் தலையெடுத்தது. இஸ்லாமியர் மட்டுமல்ல; உலகத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனின் வாழ்வையும் அது வன்மத்தோடு தீண்டியுள்ளது. இன்று ஒவ்வொரு தீவிரவாத இஸ்லாமியக் குழுவும் இவர்களையே முன்னோடியாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. செளதியின் பண பலமும், அதிகார வெறியும் இக்குழுவின் தத்துவங்களே உண்மையான இஸ்லாம் என்றும், மற்றவையெல்லாம் இஸ்லாத்திலிருந்து விலகியவை என்றும் பறை சாற்றுகின்றன.

வஹாபியம் பலப் புது மோசமான மாற்றங்களோடு வளர்ந்து விட்டது. இன்று அதன் வளர்ச்சி வளர்த்து விட்ட செளதியையே பயமுறுத்துகிறது. இதனால் தங்களை ஐ.எஸ். குழுவிடமிருந்து விலக்கிக் கொண்டு அதன் கொடூரம் ஷாரியத் சட்டங்களுக்குப் புறம்பானது என்று மெக்காவின் தலைமைக்குரு பொது அறிக்கை விட வேண்டுமென்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது போன்ற இரட்டை வேடம் போடுவது செளதிக்கு பழகிப் போன விஷயம் தான்!

பழைய புனித இடங்களை அழித்தொழிப்பது ஐ.எஸ்., செளதிக்கும் 1920லிருந்தே உள்ள வழக்கம் தான்.  இதோடு, ஷியா இஸ்லாமியரை வெறுத்தொதுக்குவது இருவருக்கும் உள்ள மற்றொரு ஒற்றுமை. 19ம் நூற்றாண்டில் கர்பாலாவில் நடத்திய கொள்ளையும்,கொலையும், பின்னால் நபியின் பேரனான ஹுசைனின் நினைவிடத்தை அழித்ததும் மிகப் பழைய கதைகள். அன்று ஆரம்பித்த ஷியாக்களின் மீதுள்ள எதிர்ப்பு இன்றும் ஐ.எஸ்., அல் கொய்தா குழுவினரிடம் தொடர்ந்து இருப்பதும் உண்மை.

வஹாபியத்தின் புதிய தோற்றம்

ஏனிந்த வஹாபியம் இப்படி தலையெடுத்து ஆடுகிறது? 1970ல் நடந்த இரானியப் புரட்சி வஹாபியத்திற்கு எதிரான ஒன்றாக இருந்தது. இவைகளுக்கு எதிராக வஹாபியத்தை புதிதாக வளர்த்தெடுக்க செளதி முனைகிறது. இதன் பிரதிபலிப்புதான் போகோ ஹரம், அல் ஷாகேப். அல் கொய்தா, தாலிபன், இப்போதைய ஐ.எஸ்.  போன்றவைகளின் வளர்ச்சி. ஷியாக்களும் முன்பு போலில்லாமல் தீவிரவாதத்திற்குள் அயோத்தல்லா கொமேனி காலத்திற்குப் பின் மாற ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார்கள்.

செளதி, கத்தாரி அரசுகள் இப்போது ஐ.எஸ். மூலம் ஒரு அரக்க சக்தியை வளர்த்து விட்டோம் என்பதை உணர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள்; தங்கள் அரசின் அமைதிக்கு இது எதிரானது என்றும் உணர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள். வஹாபியிலிருந்து ஐ.எஸ்.பிறந்திருந்தாலும் இன்று அது மிக அதிக்க் கொடூரத்துடன் வளர்ந்து விட்டது. இன்று ஐ.எஸ். குழுவை அடக்க ராணுவத்தால் மட்டுமே முடியும் என்ற நிலைக்கு வந்து விட்டது.

ஆனால் இஸ்லாமிய உலகத்தில் நிரந்தர அமைதி வேண்டுமாயின், இஸ்லாமியத்திற்குள் ஒரு புதிய போராட்டம் ஆரம்பிக்க வேண்டும். அங்கு ஒரு பெரும் மனமாற்றம் தேவை. இஸ்லாமிய ஆதரவு, இஸ்லாமிய எதிர்ப்பு என்பதைத் தாண்டியும் நம் பார்வைகள் இன்னும் விசாலமாக வேண்டும்.

ஆங்கில இந்து நாளிதழில் வழக்கமாக எழுதும் ஒரு இஸ்லாமியக் கட்டுரையாளர் எழுதிய சமீபத்தியக் கட்டுரை எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்தது. அக்கட்டுரையில் உள்ள சில பகுதிகளின் தமிழாக்கத்தை இங்கு தருகிறேன்.

பல உயர்ந்த கருத்துகளை உள்ளடக்கிய இம்மதத்தில் உள்ள ‘ஜிகாதி’ என்ற சொல்லின் உண்மையான பொருள், ஆனால் நம் வழக்கில் அச்சொல்லுக்கு உள்ள பொருள், பெண்களுக்கு எதிராக மதம் இருப்பது, பொறுமையைப் போதித்துக் கொண்டு தீவிரவாதத்தைக் கைக் கொண்டிருப்பது, குரானிலும் ஹதீசுகளிலும் உள்ள குழப்பங்கள்  -- இவைகளைப் பற்றி அக்கட்டுரையில் கூறுகிறார்.

இதைவிட, வாளால் மதத்தைப் பரப்புவது எல்லா மதங்களிலும் நடப்பதுதான். ஆனால், உதாரணமாக கிறித்துவத்தில், இந்த நிலையை அடுத்து அந்த மதங்கள் தங்களை மாற்றிக் கொண்டன. தாங்கள் கொண்டிருந்த பழைய நிலைப்பாடை மாற்றிக் கொண்டன. இது போல் இஸ்லாமும் தங்கள் குரானை முறையாக வரிசைப் படுத்தி, எந்த வித ஐயமும் இல்லாமல் அவைகளை முறைப்படுத்தி புதியதாக வெளிக் கொணர வேண்டும் என்பது அவர் கருத்து. அக்கருத்தினை கீழே சிகப்பு வண்ணத்தில் கொடுத்துள்ளேன்.

பதிவுலகில் கிடைத்த அனுபவங்களின் படி,  சிகப்புப் பகுதி அடிப்படைவாதிகளான வஹாபிகளுக்கு முற்றும் பொருந்தாத ஒன்றாக இருக்கும் என்றே நினைக்கிறேன். என் இந்தக் கருத்து தவறெனில் மகிழ்ச்சியாக மாறிக் கொள்வேன்.                ......... தருமி.

உங்கள் சமயத்தில் உள்ள உயர்ந்த விஷயங்களைச் சொல்லுங்கள் என்று ஒரு இஸ்லாமியரிடம் கேட்டால் அவர் கீழே உள்ளவைகளை ஒவ்வொன்றாக அடுக்கிக் கொண்டு போவார்.
--  சமுக வாழ்க்கையின் உயர்வு
--  ஜாதி, ஏழை-பணக்காரன் என்ற வேற்றுமைகளை முற்றாக புறந்தள்ளுதல்
--  கேள்வி ஞானத்தின் உயர்வு
--   உலகின் எந்த சக்திக்கும் தலை வணங்காமை
--  எளிமையான தூய வாழ்வு
--   தன் கீழுள்ளோருக்கு உதவும் தனித்துவமான  மாண்பு
--  பொருளாதார, சமுகச் சுரண்டல்களை முற்றிலும் வேரறுப்பது

’அமைதி’ என்ற பொருள் கொண்ட மதம்; ஆனால் கொடூரத்தை எப்போதும் கையில் எடுத்திருக்கும் மதம். பெண்களுக்குக் கண்ணியத்தையும், மரியாதையையும், சமத்துவத்தையும் தரும் மதம் என்று கூறப்படும் மதம். ஆனால் பெண்ணின் சாட்சியம் ஒரு ஆணின் சாட்சிய மதிப்பில் பாதி என்று மட்டும் கருதும் மதம்.

அறிவுத் தேடல் முக்கியம் என்று சொல்லும் மதம்;  ஆனால் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லும் பெண் குழந்தைகளைக் கொல்லும் தீவிரவாதம் உள்ள மதம். சகிப்புத் தன்மையையும், இணைந்து வாழ்தலையும் உரத்துச் சொல்லும் மதம்; ஆனால் வெறுப்பையும், பொறுமையின்மையையும் கைக்கொள்ளும் மதம்.

மித இஸ்லாமியர்கள் மிதமாகச் சொல்லும் வாதங்களுக்கு மாற்றாக மிகக் கொடூரமான பொருள் கொடுக்கும் தீவிரவாதிகள்.

இவ்வாறு தங்கள் நிலைக்கேற்ப மாறி மாறி பொருள் கொடுக்கும் இந்த நிலைக்குக் காரணம் இஸ்லாமியத் தத்துவமே! குரானே இரு பொருள் நிறைந்த ஒரு எரிமலை. யார் யாருக்கு எப்படி எப்படி வேண்டுமோ அந்தப் பொருளைக் கொள்ளும்படி உள்ள வசனங்கள்; அவைகளை வைத்து அவரவர் தங்கள் கருத்துக்கு வலு சேர்த்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள். இஸ்லாமிய செயல்களுக்கு வலு சேர்க்கும் ஹதீசுகளும் இதைப் போலவே மாற்றுப்பொருள் தர ஏதுவாக உள்ளன.

பல ஹதீசுகளை இடம் பாராது பொருத்துதலாலும், தவறான பொருள் கொடுப்பதாலும் பல தவறுகளுக்கு வழிகோலுகிறது.

’ஜிகாதி’ என்ற சொல்லே மிகவும் வன்முறையான சொல்லாகக் கருதப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ‘காஃபிர்கள்’ என்ற சொல்லும் இதைப் போலவே கருதப்படுகிறது.

தங்கள் மதத்தைப் பரப்ப முயலும் எந்த மதமுமே தங்கள் வரலாற்று ஏடுகளில் வன்முறைகளைக் கையாண்டிருப்பார்கள் என்பது உண்மை. பெரும் ராஜ்ஜியங்களைக் கட்டமைத்து அதன் வழியே வன்முறை மூலம் தங்கள் மதங்களைப் பெருக்கியிருப்பார்கள் என்பதும் உண்மை. ஐரோப்பாவில் பழம் மதங்களை அழித்து கிறித்துவத்தைப் புகுத்தியது அமைதியான முறையில் இல்லை; வன்மம் மிகுந்து இருந்தது.  மரண விசாரணைகள், சிலுவைப் போர்கள் மூலம்  ரத்த ஆறுகள் தொடர்ந்து ஓடின.

இப்போராட்டங்களில் கிறித்துவம்  தனது ஆரம்ப காலத்து வன்முறைகளைக் கைவிட்டு வளர்ந்தது போல் இஸ்லாம் தங்களது இறையியலை செப்பனிட்டு மாறாமல் தன் பழைய நிலையிலேயே நின்று, தன் பழமையோடு ஒன்றி நின்று விட்டது. கிறித்துவத்தில் எழுந்த மறுமலர்ச்சி, புத்துயிர்ப்பு போன்றவைகளின் நிழல்கூட படாமல் இஸ்லாம் வரலாற்று வளர்ச்சி ஏதுமற்று தேங்கி நின்று விட்டது. 

இஸ்லாமிற்கு இன்னொரு ஒழுங்கற்ற முகமும் உண்டு. தாலிபன் இன்னும் இது போன்று அவர்களோடு இணைந்து செல்லும் சில குழுக்கள் நடத்தும் போதனைகளும் இஸ்லாம் தான். அவர்களும் மற்ற இஸ்லாமியர்கள் போலவே குரானையும், ஹதிசுகளையும் மேற்கோள் காட்டியே தங்கள் கருத்துகளை முன் வைக்கின்றனர். இது ஒரு பெரும் குழப்பமான ஒரு சூழல். தீவிரவாதிகளும், அவர்களை எதிர்க்கும் மிதவாதக் குழுவும் குரானையும் ஹதிசுகளையும் வைத்தே மோதிக்கொள்ளும் நிலையே நீடிக்கின்றது.


கிறித்துவத்தில் இருக்கும் புதிய ஏற்பாடு போல் இன்னொரு நூலே இக்கடினமான சூழலில் இருந்து இஸ்லாம் விடுபடுவதற்கான வழி. இஸ்லாமிய அறிஞர்கள் ஒன்று கூடி குரானில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு ‘ஆயத்’துகளையும், ஹதிசுகளையும் எந்த வித குழப்பமுமில்லாமல், நேரடி பொருள் தரும்படி தொகுக்க வேண்டும். இந்த நூலே எல்லோருக்குமான பொதுவான நூலாக, இஸ்லாமியக் கோட்பாடுகளுக்கான ஒரே நூலாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

இஸ்லாமியத் தீவிரவாதம் என்றெல்லாம் பேசும் போது இஸ்லாமிய மதம் மட்டும் தனித்து ஒரு குற்றவாளிக் கூண்டில் வைத்து பேசப்படுவதே வழக்கம். ஆனால் ‘தூத்துக்குடியிலிருந்து ஒரு குரல்’ என்ற வலைப்பூ ஒன்றில் நான் சமீபத்தில் கண்ட கருத்து மிகச் சரியாக இருந்தமையால் அதனை அப்படியே ஒற்றெடுத்து இங்கே பதிவிடுகிறேன். (பதிவரின் அனுமதியை இதனைப் பதிவிட்ட பிறகே கேட்க உள்ளேன்.)

தீவிரவாதத்தின் ஆணிவேர்

ஒசாமாக்களையும் உசேன்களையும் உருவாக்கிவிடுவது, 
பின்னர் 'தீவிரவாதத்தை அழிப்போம்' என உலக நாடுகளுக்கு அழைப்பு விடுவது,
போர் என்னும் பெயரில் அப்பாவிகளை கொன்றுகுவித்து விட்டு, எண்ணைய்க் கிணறுகளை தன் வசப்படுத்துவது,
அரபு நாடுகளின் ஆசியோடு அவர்கள் மண்ணில் தன் ஆதிக்கத்தை நிலைக்க செய்வது.
இதுதான் காலம்காலமாக அமெரிக்கா நடத்தும் செயல்.
(இன்னும் 10000 அமெரிக்க படையினர் ஆப்கானிஸ்தானில் உள்ளனர். ஆப்கனில் அமெரிக்காக்காரனுக்கு என்ன புடுங்குற வேலை??)

தீவிரவாதத்தின் ஆணிவேரைத் தேட முயற்சித்தால் அந்த தேடல் அமெரிக்க குடியரசுத் தலைவர் மாளிகையில் சென்று முடிவடையும்.
